Chilliwack Community Services and Bowls of Hope unite against hunger
CHILLIWACK — In a strategic move to fortify their shared mission of eradicating food insecurity, Chilliwack Community Services (CCS) and Chilliwack Bowls of Hope (CBOH) have announced a subsidiary relationship. The partnership is set to create a synergistic framework, assisting both organizations in their goals of enhancing food security initiatives.
CBOH, a key player in the community’s fight against hunger since its inception in 2005, has been delivering nutritious lunchtime meals to over 1000 children daily. The new partnership will provide CBOH with a stable foundation for growth and sustainability, thanks to the support and resources offered by CCS.
By streamlining operations and tapping into CCS’s expertise in organizational management, CBOH hopes to expand its reach to provide more children with meals.
“Partnering with CCS, a society with mutually aligned goals and initiatives, will allow great synergies and support as we continue to expand our food security programs,” said CBOH Board President Chris Csoka. “I am thrilled to see our two societies partner to put our community first and build for a better tomorrow.”
For Chilliwack Community Services, the collaboration signifies an opportunity to bolster its food security initiatives. By integrating the efforts of CBOH, CCS aims to enhance the scope and effectiveness of its food-related programs. The partnership allows CCS to leverage the expertise developed by CBOH in addressing childhood hunger, delivering on its commitment to food security for all community members.
Luke Zacharias, the Board President of CCS says the entire community wins with the arrangement. “Partnering with Chilliwack Bowls of Hope aligns perfectly with our mission and allows us to expand our food security initiatives with a trusted ally. Together, we will strengthen our community.”
