Make your own fire starter – Stuff empty toilet paper tubes with dryer lint. These dryer lint “logs” light quickly and easily burn long enough to light up the kindling.

Turn any hose into a drip-watering hose – Drill 1/8 in. holes every 2 in. and screw a cap the end. Weave the hose around your plants and turn on the spigot.

Stop picture frames from slipping and scratching the wall – Put small dots of hot glue on the back corners of the frame. The hot glue not only prevents movement, but it also holds the picture away from the wall to prevent scratches and nicks.

Fix dents in wooden furniture –  Put a damp washcloth on the affected area. Now, with your iron on its highest setting, place it on the damp washcloth, and make small circles. Press down firmly and continue until your washcloth is dry. At this point, the wood fibers are absorbing the water and should expand back to where they were originally.
