89.5 The Drive’s “For Pets Sake” is all about matching lost and abandoned pets with new loving “furever” homes. Four times a month on Tuesday we feature cats and dogs in need of a home.

The cats featured on “For Pets Sake” come from the Chilliwack Animal Safe Haven at 49843 Chilliwack Central Road, Chilliwack. While the dogs featured come from the FVRDCare Centre on Wolf road.

“For Pets Sake” is brought you by by The Scruffy Tail – high quality food and accessories for that furry member of your family. Promontory Road in Sardis –  On Classic Hits, 89.5 The Drive.

Our For pets Sake cat today is Charlie – a classic black and white “tuxedo” cat.

(Or, if you’re familiar with T.S. Eliot’s “Old Possum’s Book of Practical Cats,” she is somewhat like a “Jellicle cat,” although she isn’t “roly poly;” she is lean.)

Charlie is a young lady of about 1 1/2 years. She is spayed.

She was surrendered to the Safe Haven in July because she was having trouble adapting to her home environment. She has fit in easily with the other cats at the Haven.

She would be best in a quieter home without young children, as they appear to make her uneasy and tense.
